I mainly listen to Power and Symphonic Metal. I have committed almost all of DragonForce's old discography to memory. A lot of it is uplifting and fantastical.
Most songs are filled with complete, illogical drivel and bullshit. They're either REALLY stupid, which appeals to the majority of the population's double digit IQ, or they're perverse....or both.
How does one go about listening to a song without music?
And there was me hoping for some new fangled method of extracting lyrics from songs ;)
All I gleaned from that clip is that the lyrics make no sense.
Of course not everyone can write lyrics like Barry Gibb.
It becomes a poem of sorts.
Jaci Velasquez. Uplifting!

There is beauty up above.
Things we never take notice of.
You wake up, suddenly.
You're in love.

Exactly. Listen to most song, lyrics make no sense.
(For pure simplicity and meaning, I think among greatest lyrics written)
Smile, though your heart is aching
Smile, even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky
You'll get by...
If you smile
Through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll see the sun come shining through for you
Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile
Try listening to your favorite songs WITHOUT music.
I think what you mean to say is, "Listen to or read the lyrics of a song."
The Words are always the most important part of a song. The tune isn't.
