Immigration act of 1924 limited immigration to 2% of the number of citizens from a country who were in the US at the time of the 1890 census. No Asians were allowed to immigrate. So not quite all, but seriously limited.
Then don't say they stopped all immigration. Severely limiting immigrants from select countries is not at all the same thing as stopping "all migration for 50 years".
