The ability to broaden and narrow your focus as needed is called instincts.
Distance is to be measured and used , when you understand for what you will have grown.
God can help with those.
I'm an atheist. I don't know that you can understand my dilemma.
I really don't want to hear about your god. Seriously.
When you're ready to discuss Jonah and the Whale; two of every kind for the Ark; etc. I'm all ears.
I don’t understand the atheist position. If you don’t believe in Christianity that’s one thing. But not even be agnostic doesn’t make any logical or philosophical sense to me.
And here we are again. Do you have any idea how hard it is for me to live in a world were people believe in their imaginary friend and will KILL for that belief?
Fren, I respect your posts. Three notes:
The sky man in most paintings is typically Zeus, not God. A few may be more accurate, but it seems more likely that everything is within God manifested of and from God
This is why I’ve become fond of pointing out the practical aspects rather than the existence. The practical proves the unprovable - much like Q proofs prove Q, who can’t be directly proven. You won’t get much insight into the practical aspects from the vast majority of Christians, because we’ve been taught not to study them
For whatever it’s worth, I promise you that I have experienced practical proofs that something more than the physical exists - supernatural grace is indeed the only reason I am alive to type this (on more than one occasion) - and would also likely agree that many aspects of God are unfortunately misrepresented by most Christians, often including myself. (And one example immediately below). You have my apologies for that.
Anyhow, my focus these days is on trying to evangelize Christians. If we can get our act fixed, you won’t need to have trust in men, because you’ll witness the Truth.
Just wanted to drop a few seeds your way for later.
And yet shitlibs are atheist and are willing to kill for their beliefs. How is it any different? Politics are their religion.
Also I am not arguing for or against Christianity I am talking about the belief in something greater at all. I can make an argument for the existence of a higher power without talking about the Bible at all.
Metaphors are difficult. Human understanding of God level power is feeble at best and our ability to describe it worse.
So you believe that you or someone else on this little rock is in charge ?
I can’t describe Q to normies for anything.
Can confirm.
Feeling the need to , is a symptom of the problem.
"So you believe that you or someone else on this little rock is in charge ?"
It was never a whale who taught you that?
Hmm atheism - knowing that there's no God. Christians,Muslims, Jews etc - know that there is a God. What's the similarity... both athiest and religious people believe they KNOW. Seems quite arrogant.
Much smarter and logical to be agnostic, thiugh even then the term describes there being no evidence for God... possibly a new term needs to be created.
That's what not atheism means. Atheism is a lack of belief in god(s). There is no claim that a god can't or doesn't exist.
There is no such thing as a (true) atheist! It is an impossibility. The truth about God is known instinctively to every person for God has put the knowledge of himself in them. Not to mention the Sun, the moon, and the stars cry out every day, there is a creator. Therefore all who claim there is no God will be without excuse on that day. When someone says there is no God what they're really saying is, "There is no God for me, I am my own God" all the while ignoring the fact that they can't guarantee their next breath.
Yep , or they think they know one. Comes under Hubris I believe.
Why doesn't God heal amputees?
Funny you ask.
My pastor is a healed amputee.
Jesus heals hearts not legs or arms... And anything you ask in his time just like this Q movement.
Jesus Christ did heal amputees. He also made the blind see again, the lame walked again and even brought people who was dead, to life again. He was never accused of not healing people. That was never denied.
