Found out through someone at the VA they are having consultants coming in weekly making new policies or taking away programs and it ALWAYS goes against the veteran's wellbeing. They are taking away therapy and making it based on each situation the vet calls for help not bi weekly anymore.
This person even said they are considering dismantling the VA and privatizing everything. Now I know the VA is shit however this can be overall horrible for veterans in need. When asked who is pushing these ideas the person couldnt say.
Then, a family member called congress who denied everything, so either they are out of the know or clearly lying.
My guess they want vets to be mentally unstable to either commit suicide or cause a rampage. Cant have a well built citizen army.
What can we do to make a big enough noise about this to stop it. I feel it must be exposed to really get the govt to stop proceeding forward.
I really hope not. Our vets deserve the best care, especially ones who were injured while active duty. Makes you wonder if there’s a correlation with madating the vaccine? Many of our active duty are young and the turbo cancers are showing in young adults. Praying for our boys and girls.
They cancel all of my appointments and have for a couple years now. I make the appointment a few weeks out and a week prior I get a letter in the mail saying the appointment is cancelled and to call to reschedule.
The DoD (and the VA) have been repeatedly caught in their lies for years. While researching the use of tactical herbicides such as Agent Orange in Okinawa, I came across a couple of paragraphs buried deep on page 188 of the 2022 NDAA Report to The Senate. It blows away the DoD's claim that they couldn't locate any records of Agent Orange being on the small island... and the VA parrots that claim as an excuse to deny vet's claims of exposure. After years and years of denials, the DoD put this in writing to the Senate:
"**The committee notes that under Operation Red Hat, the Department of Defense (DOD) imported Agent Orange to be used as a herbicide on military bases in Okinawa. Agent Orange was stored at the bases and used on public spaces in the 1980s through 2013. There has been widespread medical evidence linking Agent Orange and multiple health conditions.
Accordingly, the committee directs the Secretary of Defense to provide a briefing to the Senate Armed Services Committee, not later than March 1, 2022, on the use and storage of herbicides on present and former military installations on the island of Okinawa. The briefing shall discuss the shipment of herbicides to Johnston Island under Operation Red Hat, the excavation of suspected herbicide containers at Marine Corps Air Station Futenma in 1981, the Okinawa City soccer pitch in 2013, and Kadena Air Base; and other suspected locations of herbicide.
The briefing shall address any test results by the DOD and the Government of Japan showing the presence of the chemical components of herbicide—2,4,5-Trichlorophenoxyacetic acid, 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid, and 2,3,7,8-Tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin. The Secretary shall consult with appropriate organizations who represent veterans of Okinawa in preparing this briefing.**"
As far as I can tell, myself (and other researchers) cannot find any record of such a briefing as the NDAA report suggests. Meanwhile, the VA continues to deny health care and compensation for those of us exposed to herbicides. Much like the Vietnam veterans, we are facing an uphill battle against a small army of faceless bureaucrats that likely know any admission to poisoning the Pacific theater of operations opens a flood of claims from both veterans and civilians alike... and exposes their lies to us AND the good people of Okinawa that are still suffering the effects of their phuckery.
Sorry, but I don't trust 'em as far as I can throw a booger, but here's some sauce for ya, if needed.

My husband had to suffer for years until he got his 100% disability claim. Their caregiving program was trying to get rid of all the vets from recents wars who suffer mentally once they allowed in vets from older wars. They over extend themselves funding things they shouldnt n vets and other citizens lose out on their right for care. They are slimy, worthless bureaucrats.
I could not post a link to my latest book without getting sideways with the moderators, but you can find it on Amazon :) I will add your family to my growing Bended Knee List. God Bless - John Bates, author.

Anything out of the government's reach is a good thing.
privatizing isn't necessarily bad in nature. i just doubt it will be done with patients interests at heart. most likely a lowest bidder or whoever greases the palm of the politician's responsible.
The veterans need a health care system that understands military life. Most civilians have never experienced the sacrifice a military man makes to serve his nation. This is not a casual matter and taking care of our fighting is a top priority and essential to keeping a strong military and future recruiting.
Completely agree. Everyone should be trained on how vets are too. The therapists are a joke and dont know anything about what it is to serve or be a vet.
Do you guys think this is a good thing to go private or will it put too big of a strain on local med offices? I trust nothing the govt does so to me it seems like a bad idea to change it so much
They privatized a lot of Medicare and the Type C plans ( manged care contracts) are already creating problems. So while the VA has its problems, I dont believe it should be private at least until we get a Veteran friendly President.
What we need is a VA done right. Fully staffed with patriots.
We don’t want something like Medicare part C. It’s just HMO renamed.
Correct - and taking our Medicare $$ and giving them to insurance companies to screw a system that did work.
Agreed!
