“Well I’m not allowed to testify. I’m under a gag order. I guess,” he said as he looked at his attorney, Todd Blanche, who nodded.
“I’m not allowed to testify because this judge, who’s totally conflicted, has me under an unconstitutional gag order,” Trump added. “Nobody’s ever had that before, and we don’t like it, and it’s not fair.”
Why would he say that if he wasn't going to testify. He had to know it was untrue. He got his lawyer to agree to it and his lawyer obviously knows it was untrue.
I think he was signaling to the public he's changed his mind about testifying.
Cohen is up for Monday.
I think it's a giant risk when defendants testify, but they are going to find a way to challenge the testimony of others.

You can testify when you’re under a gag order. The judge even called Trump out after he made that statement.
