Have to wonder if they are taking out the bridges so people can't leave the cities.

Galveston, TX? That would make the New Orleans Pelicans the prime suspects, now that they were eliminated from the NBA playoffs. Context here
So, that would be a no to the question, because Houston is 30 miles away, so it would be rather foolish to go trap yourself on an island fleeing the city.
I wsa thinking the same thing.
Why do all the photos of the barge look like they are a crude CGI rendering? All the flat surfaces are perfectly grey without any rust, dirt or footprints.
Am I seeing things?
It seems like you just looked at the thumbnail above. If you were curious enough to click to the article, you'd see tons of video about it.
I went through the article and there was no live shot at the time i saw it as it was "a developing situation".
The only semi-convincing video was added near the bottom of the article. I use a 60 inch 4k TV as a computer monitor so I can really zoom into these images and videos. It still looks wonky.
You would not see most of that from that elevation, distance and angle.
Rust requires iron, and really unprotected iron. In image 1 on the article, you can see rust.
The Barge is Too perfect. AI generated.

No way. There are too many people that could simply walk over and disprove that a barge hit the bridge.
