‘Make Yourself Winners’: Donald Trump Promises Libertarians In Cabinet If Third-Party Supports Him
Donald Trump promised the Libertarian Party on Saturday he would appoint officials from their party to positions in his administration if he is elected.
So.... Ron and Rand Paul running DHHS and FDA / NIH respectively?
I support this.
And Matt Gaetz running the VA? (or FEC, SEC or OPM, or wait this is it. The GSA)
Thomas Massie running the...NSF (national science foundation) or any cabinet level cryptocurrency thing (he's MIT and an engineer)
Honestly, I would give them charge over ending the Fed, too.
I think Chris Farrell at Judicial Watch should run the FBI
And Tom Fitton as the US Government watchdog group, the Federal FOIA Agency FFA which Trump will create to wrest FOIA docs from other agencies, and punish as in shitcan or delete positions of people who fail to comply to foia or upon investigation hindered foia or destroyed the documents, they can actually send in fed LEOs and take those poeple in agencies right to prison.
Or he can be the chief ombudsman for the entire us government.
That's weird, isn't it? Shouldn't he be hiring on merit? I thought we were going to go back to a meritocracy.
Of course it will be on merit and he probably already knows who he is going to hire, even regardless of the nomination. This is pure art of the deal.
Oh it will be on merit. On a campaign alone in one department there can be 10,000 applications from the brightest students out there, in all different capacities. Always if you win a race it's nice to hire some with similar points of view while exceptionally qualified.
This is a good point. I think we need a libertarian view-point in most cabinet positions.
Ron Paul, while registered as a Republican, was in reality a libertarian.
I don't think so. Most Libertarians are more qualified simply by understanding freedom and its nature better than anyone in the Uniparty (TM) Mike Lee, libertarian leaning (R).
