An interesting story for sure. The fascinating story of Anthony Johnson, the black man who was one of the first people to own a slave in the U.S.

Thank you, I'll take a look at it shortly... Cheers fren... ☕️☕️☕️
Can you give a summary of the post?
A meme showing that the first owner of slaves in the USA was a tobacco farmer... A black man named Anthony Johnson... Colonial Court Records Northampton 1654... Cheers fren... ☕️☕️☕️
Thank you!
My pleasure fren... Have a great evening...
You to friend!
But the USA was not even a country for nearly 150 years after that.
Granted, but it was still a colony if I'm not mistaken...
Hm, you're right. Maybe the reparations crowd needs to be calling for reparations from the British monarchy then?
Kekekek no argument from me...
yall are way better at history than I am. wish I paid better attention in school..
Interesting. I can't see it either. Are you saying that it's in the court records from 1644 - in Northampton, what, Massachusetts? Thanks for answering. I would like to check this out but can't see TS.
For some reason the last few times I've tried posting something from there it hasn't worked... Did you try clicking the thumbnail??? I'm wondering if I reached a daily limit of some sort... I apologize for that... It only says Northampton, not sure whether it's Massachusetts or not...
That's alright. I'm not on TS so I doubt I'd see it anyway. Except, someone (maybe you?) posted something from there a couple of days ago and it was the one and only time I could see it. I wish they'd open it up for viewing.
I'm sorry you're having that problem viewing TS... I wish I knew if some way you could...
Me too! I know there's a lot of good stuff there. As long as people explain a bit about whatever it is they're posting, it's all good. Some just say stuff like, check this out! And then leave, lol.
I'll try to remember to post some kind of rundown of what I post from there fren...
Colonial Court Records Northampton 1654... That's exactly what it says...
Actually come to think of it, was there ever Tobacco growing in Massachusetts. Maybe there's a Northampton in Virginia. I'll check it out.
According to the article I read, it was Northampton Virginia...
Thanks. Yeah, that makes more sense. Virginia was tobacco country, and of course, Jamestown was established before the pilgrims landed.
👍👍👍
Alright, thanks. Well, there wasn't much yet in 1654, so it's probably Massachusetts. Actually, I have been absolutely amazed at how quickly things progressed. Those pilgrims were busy little bees. Remember, the only landed at Plymouth Rock in 1620. So 1654 is only 34 years later.
You're correct on that...
I wonder if this means slavery in America can now be chalked up as one of the "many" inventions contributed by blacks?
Would seem so kekekekek... 😂🤣😂🤣😂 Cheers fren... ☕️☕️☕️
Why do they make claims of so many years/centuries ago, when child sex slavery occurs in USA TODAY.
This reparations garbage is just another way of dividing us by race... Part of the marxist play book... Cheers fren... ☕️☕️☕️
Look up the widow C. Richards, and her son P.C. Richards, slave owners.
Will do after I get my daughter off to school... Thank you for the suggestion... ☕️☕️☕️

I should have known results would be surpressed: In 1860, slave owners, white or black, owned around one to five slaves on average. About 28 percent of the free black population in New Orleans at the time owned slaves, with at least six owning 65 or more. C. Richards and her son P.C. go above and beyond these other six slave owners by owning over twice as many. The widow and her son operated a large sugar plantation together and owned more slaves than all other black slave owners in Louisiana in 1860, topping off at 152.[5]

do you think maybe pc richards and sons might want that info suppressed due to such similarity of names?
Might be! I wonder if it’s family…
such a bigoted post...
