Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evolving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
What is GAW's assessment on Trump's interview on Tim Pool: Good? Bad? Meh?
Kind of busy with other things and missed the interview on my end...
It was a great outreach to libertarians, perfect timing given their extreme sense of betrayal at their party's candidate selection.
Tim did well, only 15 minutes at the end. Nothing we haven’t heard - crypto good, doesn’t support CBDC, avoided answering if we’re already in WW3, etc.
All I caught was people on Twitter complaining that Tim was disrespectful for interviewing Trump with his usual hobo outfit lol.
I’m glad he didn’t wear something else. Why should he have to be fake or phony to interview President Trump. I think it’s great that he was authentic. If he would’ve wore something else, people would complain about that as well.
Yeah I'm glad he did as well.
Man I would absolutely love to interview Trump and here his Christian testimony.
Absolutely. I personally thought it was cute. I cant even imagine how intimidating it musta been sitting with Trump in his full suit as usual, while trying to be true to his own brand.
Those comments just showed that the world of mainstream republicans colliding with Tim Pool's world - its just funny is all.
If he had actually suited up, I would have lost respect.
Although if the only criticism is that Tim did not vary his usual wardrobe that he wears for practically 99.9% of the time...
If "Damnation by faint praise" is a thing, then so is "Vindication by faint criticism".
