Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evolving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
Serious question - and I'm not trying to be a ghoul here.
I know some people, neighbors, co-workers, etc. who took every conceivable covid shot and would probably take one every week if they could, and they are all doing fine. No major health issues, not even minor health issues except for the old folks, who you'd expect to have some issues anyway.
I know I've seen others here say they know tons of people who have died or had turbo cancer or myocarditis or whatever. I don't know anyone. Not one. I'm not wishing harm on anyone, but at the same time, I'm wondering if they will continue to be okay or what. Are they ticking time bombs who got a little lucky? Actually, it's just been a little over 3 years since the shots were started, right? And the prognosis from those experts who were wary of them was that in 3-5 years we'd start seeing people ... you know. So we've just gone a little past that 3 year mark, and that's for those who were eligible to get them right away. As you remember, they were rolled out, so people got them in waves, as they were eligible. I don't know, maybe God is shining down on some of these people.
One of my co-workers took it, and less than a year he was gone. His sister is a dr and she convinced him to do it. He told me himself. I told him I sure wished he hadn’t done it. He let me know real quick that his sister knew best. A few months later he was diagnosed with cancer all over his body. Within a few more months he was gone. He was only 49. It broke my heart. I also have an aunt that was healthy and took good care of herself. She stays sick, and they tell her she has long Covid. What’s so bad is that it’s the ones that should know better that did this to themselves. My daughter’s father in law had a huge tumor on his thyroid develop and it had began to wrap itself along his vocal cords. It blows my mind.
I was just talking about this the other week with my husband. Not wishing harm either but it’s kinda weird. People in both our families got it and boosters. People at his work, my daughter’s work and friends got it. It’s not something I discuss with people but you kinda know certain people got it. We know one person that’s died after having covid but can’t be sure if the vaccine killed him. He got Lyme disease in July, mid September went in the hospital. At some point they put him on the breathing machine because he couldn’t breathe, had to lay upside down for weeks. Both lungs failed and he got double transplant. Survived all that and got the vaccine after surviving. Died three days later. 95% sure it was the vaccine but can’t be certain. We live in a very rural community. I’d love to know where people lived that died from vax or from something else as a result of the vax. I wonder if they gave out the poisonous vax to certain areas. We might know one day or never know. I sure hope it comes out. I don’t think the people giving the vax had a good and bad batch to give to certain people. My daughter is a nurse and had just moved from the ER to the clinic before covid. She and another lady were chosen to give Covid test and the vaccine. I know this place wasn’t choosing who to give the poison batch. I might would question if I didn’t know for a fact about this particular clinic.
I think about this on a daily basis. Of course I'd like everyone to be okay. The way I see it the jab is like russian roulette..play at your own risk. Some people are fortunate and good for them.

They are not all the same. And some people handle them better.
