One thing God has revealed (awakened) to me over the last few years is how absolutely satan is the prince of this world. He controls industries, governments, institutions, and billions of people. And I believe demonic activity has increased many fold over the last few years. It is easy to get depressed and lose hope with the understanding of our real situation. However, even with an evil prince in control, there is still so much good: good people, good values and morals, laughter, joy, peace. This is our battle, to retain the fruits of the Spirit in the midst of the evil (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, self control). To be in the world but not of the world. To walk the straight and narrow path with enemies on every side working for our destruction. If the Bible says the fruits of the Spirit are possible in this fallen, broken, evil world, then we can have hope, and something to fight for. It amazes me that we have been given so much grace that we can live a good and beautiful life in such an evil world. We have mighty warriors fighting a spiritual battle in the heavenly realms for us. We have Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the Lord God Almighty who love us and fight for us. So, keep your eyes on them and fight the good fight of faith. This means praying, reading and absorbing the Scriptures, and facing every challenge with faith. This world is not our home, but God is here with us in the midst of the evil.

Well said.
Amazingly said. Best I’ve read on a long time actually. So right, hits dead center. Thank you for this.
Forgive me, I can't recite the book or verse number, but it starts with "Yea tho I walk through the valley of death..." - this will be us the next half of year - the GA Battle of the Bulge in our time. Eventually, it will be followed with a modern ending: "I've been through hell. Although they've applied for disaster relief, they won't be getting their power back on my shift."
Psalm 23
May I share this?
Of course. Thanks!
