The local scrap yard posted a sign requesting that lithium batteries be removed from anything being recycled. Li batteries are used in a lot of smaller devices. If the batteries can't be run through the mixed shred stream then there are few options outside of landfill disposal.
But who is stupid enough to buy an EV now?
I needed a new boat anchor.
They will need it for all the replacement batteries
EV is just 1 point of reference. Hand tools, cell phones, municipal power storage, home solar or wind turbine storage.
Evs were simply a blip on the radar. Until Fusion is cheaply and economically viable, storage is a great transition

There isn’t much lithium in those small batteries; but it is very, very pure. Shredding it will mix up whatever is outside with the pure contents.
Lithium is a unique material in that it will evaporate into a lithium dioxide particulate or go gaseous
Checkmate globalists ---- who control China's lithium supply.
EVs will drop like a rock ---- the globalists have no advantage now.
Nobody. But lithium batteries for power tools are too damn high.
I dk but Fords CEO seems absolutely hell bent on destroying the company by tripling down on EVs
