How a democracy destroys your rights
The authoritarians and their ever-abiding media minions of the fascist far left have always striven to lie with language to further their socialist national agenda. Their most recent project is conniving to convince everyone that we’...
A democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting for what’s for dinner.
Overall good article. Only real caveat I’d make is this
I mean I get the Author is meaning we can’t arbitrarily change things week to week. But we technically could change things at the whim of a majority if they could maintain the majority focus long enough.
We just so happen to be be fortunate enough that a large portion of the Modern voting population is effectively retarded and has the attention span of a gnat when it comes to things outside their immediate day to day. Or the latest celebrity gossip.
Which makes it near impossible to mobilize them and keep attention focused on a key issue. Like Forcing through a Constitutional Amendment. For long enough.
In fact I’m almost certain that is one of the only reasons we’ve lasted long enough to be given a chance however remote to possibly fix things.
The Downside also is though. That a large portion of the Modern voting population is effectively retarded. Personal example being how tax increases for the local town keep ending up on the ballot for elections and they keep getting passed. Only for the people to turn around and bitch about price increases.
Or how no one bothers to show up for the midterms or general municipal elections. And then I hear them bitching at work about the results of those elections at work. (I work retail at the moment. Lots of interaction with the general population.)
Sounds like an excellent argument for Abolitionism / Voluntaryism / Civil Society in place of forcible government, because ANY system which sanctions letting the majority forcibly rule over a minority is a danger to life, liberty, and property.
Are we ready for actual freedom yet? Will we ever be?

...valid observations, nicely stated and framed...
Didn’t you guys hear on the news? Some MAGA extremist (white supremes, probably) claim we are NOT a democracy!
Seriously though it would be nice if OUR representatives lived and worked all year in the district they represent so we have access to them. Don’t we have technology that would allow meetings to take place from their offices?
...it is more convenient to bribe/blackmail them when they are centrally located...
...your point is valid nonetheless...
