Considering he won 15% of the popular vote, so far, I think he's done a stellar job. The political pundits totally underestimated him. So glad, after 8 attempts he is now an MP. The only British politician in my opinion to talk sense.
Oh crap. I thought he was looking to become PM, not just an MP. So the UK is still stuck with either the two phony bozos regardless of this election. Both the Conservatives and Liberals have screwed UK badly.
Unfortunately we don't actually elect our PM. The PM is the head of the party that is in power, and they get in power by how many seats they get in parliament.
Reform got more actual votes than the Lib Dems, who got 71 seats to Reform's 4.
Likewise, mate, they're claiming a landslide, and in seats yes but not in votes. Nearly 70% of the population voted against the Labour party. The election was a condemnation of how badly the Conservative government moved from its core values and principles.
We have merely swapped one useless corrupt group of bastards and traitors for another.
There were over 600 Reform candidates I believe, but half of that was all very last minute due to the snap election being called.
Rishi Sunak screwed us all. I think he called an early election because Reform were starting to threaten the Conservative voting block, but that happened anyway and he just handed Labour a super majority (which is probably why he did it - fell on his sword to ensure an establishment party gained power)
The PM does not have insane amounts of power compared to regular MPs. In most cases it's better to be an MP as you'll be in opposition, you can call out the PM as much as you want but will never be held responsible for any of the fuckery done by the government. You can also block much of the fuckery.

I'm ashamed of my fellow countrymen today.

The only party that elects its leader is the Labour Party, all its members can vote for this.
Only 4 seats because... not many Reform candidates to vote for?

Good point!
8 attempts?! I had no idea. Sorry Iām American. God bless. He seems normal!
He is! No problem. I'm a South African - Australian married to a Brit, living in Italy. š
God bless you brother, I know a preacher from Rhodesia and who fought for her during the war. I pray for the day S.A. is freed from all this tyranny.
I hope Italy is treating you and the misses well, are there a lot of patriots there?
Thank you. We love Italy but don't know too many patriots here, sadly, which is why I enjoy GAW so much.
