Al Gore inventing the internet is more plausible because more and more people became aware of the internet as the 90s went on. But there is some possible truth as he was 21 in 1969, the internet's supposed birth year. Of course, we know that he really didn't create the internet.
Inventing the internet is different from passing legislation expanding the internet. Unless he was there and part of the team that created the internet, he can't claim to "invent the internet." The truth is that Gore is a US Army veteran and he might have learned of the internet by working as a journalist. One thing I like about him after reading a short biography of his early life is that Gore enlisted in the army in the face of Vietnam protests at Harvard.
Ultimately, Al Gore is a tard. One enduring image of him is from a random Simpsons episode where Lisa buys a book written by him.
