It is a rigged voting system. Farage gets 14 percent and gets 4 or 5 seats, while labour gets 35 percent but gets 2/3 of the seats. It is rigged to favor the establishment, making it all but impossible for smaller parties to get a foothold.
"Rigged" might be a bit strong but the current system really only works for a two party system. If there are more than two parties then the others stand a chance of not being properly represented.
The LibDems who usually come in third have always campaigned for Proportional Representation but this time I think they got as many seats as their proportion of the vote justified.
Reform UK fared badly. They got about 40% of the votes that Labour had but only just over 1% of the seats.
But the reform party got their foot in the door. It's a slow start, but it is a start. Plus I'd think that Farage will be a obstacle to the left in implimenting their agenda. Who knows, Farage could just slow down their steady march or at least cast some light onto their policies. Yea, he got screwed with the apportionment of seats, yet for some reason I think it is part of the Q plan.
I hope it's not that long after the US that the UK gets fixed. It should be easier once people see the US.
