But yes, younger people have that, and I have seen it happen more than a few times: a woman doesn't even think about children because being too focused on her studies, then her career and having fun etc, then when they realize they actually would want to have at least one they are already getting a bit old and somehow now it always looks like the wrong time one way or another - and then they are too old to get pregnant.
Sorry for the guys who would not want to carry the whole financial situation mostly on their shoulders, but what we have now really doesn't work all that well. Women are most fertile in their late teens to late 20s, and start to lose that fast after they turn 30, so that is really the age most should have their kids. Even if that means they will not be as successful in their careers, and the father has to support the family mostly on his own for some years - unless some other support system could be figured out.
Probably should not be a government job, that, though.
To mine and her mothers greatest dismay, our youngest has never wanted children. I used to tell her that biological clock would bring her back to sanity but she will be 38 in September. Times running out.
And I am the greatest grandpa of all time. (hehe) My grandkids all get to shoot guns when they come over.
