I suppose at least some of you have been interested in the UFO - or now, UAP - phenomena? And know how tightly owls seem to be connected to the wilder parts of that?
Not just abductees see and remember owls. Sometimes those have been assumed to be some sort of screen memories, masking what might have been some of those aliens - or "aliens" - that they encountered. But owls seem to pop up in a lot of stories of simply seeing something like weird lights in the sky too. And in ways that make it look most likely that what was seen was actually real owls, not some sort of hallucinations or screen memories.
And then there is that cabal fascination with owls. Owl statues, owl pictures, owls owls owls...
What the h*ll is it about owls? They are sort of cute, at least the very young ones are, if somewhat stupid seeming birds (in spite of that mythological connection with wisdom they are supposedly among, if not the most stupid, of all birds of prey).
Why owls?
If you are claiming that memories of Owl is related to alien abductions, you will have to provide at least some examples of people claiming such, or stories where owls pop up in relation to seeing weird lights in the sky etc.
Personally, I have seen owls in magic / wizard stories, but never in anything related to UFOs.
There is a book about that. Mike Clelland, Owls, Synchronicity and the UFO Abductee. Okay, it actually seems to be a trilogy of books, but I have only read the first one.
And several youtube videos by several people, he's not the only one who talks about that. Whitley Strieber who has written several books about his alleged alien contacts talks about owls as being used to mask the memories of those contacts, and in several books I have read it is claimed that if you have any weird owl encounters you might want to start digging into those memories as they may mask something else.
In fact, if you read more about the whole phenomena, owls will be talked about sooner or later.
Okay thanks, definitely interesting.
also twin peaks has heavy references to both owls and mysterious space stuff. if you have never watched that, you totally should
I have heard of it, never watched.
Check out the Fourth Kind. It's a movie, based on real events with ( supposedly ) actual footage of some of the interviews. Point is, all of these people claimed to see an owl outside their window the night they were 'abducted'.

Somebody who claims personal experiences. Who knows if they are true, but as said, the connection seems to be claimed by a lot of people who think or claim they have had those experiences.
