Prayers Needed Hurricane Beryl
🧘Mental/Physical Health 🏋🏼♂️
FRENS~! First off, I Miss being on here~!~!
Second, I need prayers for the people that are still without power, water and food. I have been able to hook up to my truck with two extension cords and hook up my refrigerator and fan. I am able to get on the internet when I unplug the fan.
The Electric companies have said that it will be a week or two before we will get our electricity turned back on. I am not sure about water. The gas stations are running out of gas and some out of food.
Please pray for those that are without.
Thank you, Kingslea, Fren, Frog
Thank goodness for our generac! Best thing ever!
I thought about getting one of those, but if things got really bad, I figure I don't want to be the only guy on the block with a house all lit up, and a noisy generator running that can be heard for 1/4 mile. I have two little 6000 Kva generators, each of which will run all my 110 outlets for as long as I have gas to put in them. I have it rigged to plug into dryer outlet to supply distribution panel.
I want to get a battery solar generator to run at night, if things get really bad so know one will be able to tell I have power. I also have been putting down a shallow well that I intend to put a pitcher pump on it for emergency water. I do have a well, and not city water, so would only need if I ran out of generator fuel to run well pump.
I just got the second generator for free. A guy down the street bought it. Ran it one time, and didn't run the gas out of carb when done, so it clogged up the carb. I just took the carb off, cleaned the needle valve and bowl, put it back together and it cranked on first pull.
Funny, this neighbor bought another brand new generator, did same thing with it. It's sitting out in his yard, and has only ran once. Then he bought another third generator and by this time, learned to turn gas off and let if run out before storing it for season.
One of these days I'm gonna bite the bullet and get solar with 2 or 3 Tesla Powerwalls. Our power sucks - brownouts, blackouts, and the power seems dirty. I work from home and have 3 UPSs to save my servers and storage, and I hear them click on several times every day to protect my systems from bad power. I lost a NAS a couple of years ago because the power flickered on and off 6 times quickly as the power company was restoring service. Cost me over $2500.
The powerwalls will keep the power inside clean and I won't have to worry about propane if I had a generac. I wish they were cheaper though. If you haven't seen or heard of them: https://www.tesla.com/powerwall
I know! Hubby wants one!
