Indeed, according to the report it was an M-346 Bielik jet used for training.
Some data from Internet:
The M-346 Bielik is a family of military twin-engine transonic advanced jet trainers and light combat aircraft. It is currently operated by the air forces of Italy, Israel, Singapore, Greece, Turkmenistan, and Poland.
The Polish Air Force has 16 M-346 Bielik aircraft in its inventory, with 15 remaining after a recent crash. The aircraft entered service with the Polish Air Force in November 2018 to replace the old TS-11 Iskra training aircraft.
The sad truth is a fighter cannot be trained and ready in the timeframe being provided. And, even if they can be, all they will accomplish is prolonging a lost cause and enable more needless deaths.
Ugh. Regardless of what we think of this war, my son is a pilot in training, my family is Ukrainian, and that makes me want to vomit. God speed to the pilot.
He will forever be remembered...

"That'll buff out"
Sum Ting Wong
He identified as a lawn dart.
Ukraine would be best served by selling the F16's and using that money to buy sacrificial mercenaries from Iran.
It’ll buff out.
