This is going to sound sick from me, but I recommend every adult sees at least once what death looks like, what murder looks like and what gore is like. It gives you a strong knowledge of what evil manifested in the actions of men actually looks like.
It gives you a deeper understanding of the vile evil we're up against.
Someone who has never seen violence doesn't really understand evil imo.
While i can somewhat agree with what you're saying here, i would like to issue a strong caution against it. It can break some people's minds, if they aren't ready for it anon. When i was younger i became sick because i saw a few of them. Every 5-10 years i try it again.. it makes me sick to see the evil of humans.
I'm convinced you don't need to see this. But those who will find out if they are strong or weak or... sick (some people get an insensible urge to view more.. maybe even do it themselves to see it). I can see it without flinching these days.. i've seen so much.. but i don't waste time watching anymore because i'm strong and have to do what i can to help others so things don't become like that (also i noticed it affected me negatively - i have no desire to see people killed and maimed.. i would rather see people happy, living, and thriving in truth)
I have found this too.. but i must stress that even some adults shouldn't have to see it, some people can be changed for life, and their light shine less bright or go out permanently. Mine shone dimmer as i went closer to further my knowledge of evil.. until it almost went out. By that point i had discovered the evil side is a bottomless pit of blackness that should not be tempted. While there i saw people falling over the edge ruining themselves forever. They wanted to be strong in evil. At that point i was weak from seeing so much evil.. but it allowed me to fling back to reach highs of good that i had not yet attained.. including being one of the rare few of humankind to have see God's face.
I watched a few things that I immediately "regretted", because it filled me with a tremendous rage that I had to walk through for quite some time after that.
In that walk, I had to separate righteous anger from vengeful rage and try to get back to the place of loving the person while hating the sin.
It sucked - and as you said, my light was very dim during that period - replaced with absolute rage.
I'm not sure everyone finds their way back - and it never gets easier every time I click on a video that I shouldn't have.

This is why I said every adult. No child/adolescent should ever see violence.
Weakness is not an excuse either.
Knowledge of evil in my view is a necessary initiation in spiritual maturity. If you never see evil, you don't really know it.

Only because of Jesus was I able to walk back.
