CNN ran a story documenting the shooters movements ahead of the shooting.
First this story is factually inaccurate. They claim the shooter bought a 5FT ladder. No way. That ladder is 12-20FT based off photos.
Example: https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/00-92.jpg
I know why they claim a 5FT dinky ladder was bought... because he drove a tiny lil beta male car. Hyundai Sonota. No way would the real ladder fit in a Hyundai Sonota.
On top of that, the article details a sophisticated plot where this kid knew how to build IEDs and wire them to a detonation switch that he could trigger remotely. The bomb was wired into his trunk.
But with all this preemptive planning, he forgot to pick ammo up for his rifle and didnt have the ladder until the morning of, so he had to go buy those items to pack into the backseat of his car (member the trunk was full with a bomb) the morning of.
He drove an hour away and knew he needed a big ass ladder to scale the building tho, 5 FT definetly not.
It doesnt add up. Please tell me how a giant ladder gets into a Hyundai Sonota?

Want to know how tall a ladder is? Count the rungs.
Each rung is 1 foot.
His ladder was 9-10ft.
Cool.
He was a patsy for the real sniper.
Was that ladder his? Or the ones the cops used to get on the roof
CBS is reporting
There's a lower AC unit on the other side of the building

I agree that the ladder was probably not his.
Also
Do they actually say this? A pipe bomb can be quite small.
This jumped out at me too. But then I read he just got an associate's degree in engineering
I think we can safely assume he was using a clown car.
5ft ladder, yeah no f'n way that wouldn't even get you on top of a small shed .... total b.s.
I wonder how he would know the layout of a rally that was to be held about 50 miles away from his home on the far side of Pittsburg. Presumably, he must have recce'd the situation so he would know what to do on the day and what to bring. Having said that, ammo would definitely have been on my list!
Did he just guess that he would have free access to those buildings on the day and take a chance? Did he know that the buildings were full of snipers watching the event? And did he know how to avoid being noticed by them?
Folding ladder. I have one. 20' full extended height, 9' high A-frame step ladder height, can fit in a small Toyota.
It doesn't look like a folding ladder; it's red and looks like it's "non-folding".
Folding ladders don’t narrow at the top. Symmetry from top to bottom.
Collapsible ladders do.
Grats, you’re an idiot. Figure out what symmetry and taper means.
Is the top of the ladder, the same width as the bottom?
That would be symmetrical, capable of folding.
A ladder that tapers from bottom to top (wider at the bottom than it is at the top), IS. NOT. FOLDABLE.
Guess what dawg - I never said foldable…I said collapsible…big difference. I accept your apology.
I agree, the story does not add up with the picture of that ladder, and the type of car he drove. That picture shows what appears to be -10 -15 foot step-ladder, which is somewhat bulky, and cumbersome to carry, and haul in (or even on top) of a car. It's much bigger than a 5 foot ladder. So, is the picture wrong; or is that a typo in the article description (5 instead of 15)?
One theory someone else here on GAW presented, is that the picture of the ladder may be a picture of the ladder LEO's used to get onto roof after the event. Plausible, but we need to know- when was that picture taken, is it a real picture; is that the ladder the shooter used, or did cops bring that ladder after the shooting?
Obviously, if that is indeed the real ladder that the shooter used, then we need to find an explanation for how the shooter was able to get that [large] ladder on location, and set up, without being noticed.
But, this new info about an alleged trunk IED is a big twist in the story imo. Lot's of questions about that, and the details surrounding the IED. My big question is- did the shooter put the IED in his trunk...or, did his handler? Did the shooter even know that his car was rigged with a bomb? Or, was that bomb placed there by someone else as "insurance" to clean up "loose ends"?
Collapsible ladder?
