He has been a pretty big disappointment once he surfaced again after those Disney movies. I guess I still like Luke Skywalker, if only the character from the OT, but can't say I like the actor. If the franchise survives Disney, the trash they made is kicked out of the canon, and then the franchise is maybe revitalized with some movies where the stories are mostly taken from the better Expanded Universe/Legends novels, like perhaps the Zahn trilogy, it would be pretty good if some other actor managed to make the character his to an extent that everybody forgets who the hell the original actor for that character was. Hamill would deserve that.
The problem is Disney, this glacial monolithic vacuum disnyfied star wars. With all their rules and regulations. It's a bad fit, they want to make a pure male brand into a pure girl brand. They destroyed the hero. Toxic masculinity and girl boss without struggling. Meh, what a waste. Destroyed childhood.
