I love commenting how Squirrels have a brain the size of a plain M&M yet provide for themselves and prepare for the future on Libtard posts. Our yard has all kinds of dug up spots. My wife put mothballs in her flower pots, still get the holes dug in them. Other critters looking for Squirrel stashes are a part of it...
I was robbed at Gunpoint at home in the morning a few years ago. I work overnights and was woke up by a brown man with a gun aimed at me saying "Where Da Money?" So my landlord was supposed to replace the french doors out of he basement, but was dragging his feet. I got a chocolate lab. Dog was 6 months old and very boisterous. I'm a Senior, and a flatlander. Took dog for a walk and I had to go on the road on a steep hill because of cars parked on the side. Had dog with left hand on leash, he took off running on the hill and pulled me off my feet. I landed on my face and right hand. Scraped my face and broke several fingers.
I had to take him back to the Humane Society, they don't put dogs down there. It wasn't his fault... I bought my first gun ever, landlord put an alarm system in, and eventually a stronger door.
I love Dogs, but in a rental situation it can be a hassle to have pets. My wife is kinda meh about pets anyways, and I couldn't expect her to handle the dog if I couldn't.
Oh I am so sorry to hear. Glad you were not hurt. Must be traumatizing.
Labs have lots of energy and when it comes to elderly, no puppy and I wouldn't recommend Labs. I understand your situation. You want a small dog they called the yapper because if someone comes in, the dog would be making lots of noise.
Yeah, I haven't had a puppy since 2000 and that was a Black Chow Chow, I lived in Sanford Fla., a crime ridden suburb of Orlando (Martin/ Zimmerman) and I and my room mates worked nights, so after a few break ins I got her. I actually worked as Kennel Master one season at a Dog Track, then wrote my Freshman Comp paper about the track, with the plot twist at the end being, letting the reader know that I was against Dog Tracks. Among pets I had a Greyhound, and a Greyhound-Pitbull Mix (Think Pit Bull that can run very very fast)
By the way, in the poor countries Dogs and Cats have a very tough life... My Pinay Wife's Bukid relatives ate a dog while I was away to the city, buying bread and ground beef. I'd befriended her. I'd gone to the house my wife had started and added a bigger kitchen, and a large room for us to live in. I was there 2 weeks, and this dog had three puppies. She was starving, yet was nursing her ready to be weaned puppies. So I'd share what I was eating with her.
When we moved to the Philippines 5 months later, she was down to 2 puppies since one was run over. So another one was run over, and the third is still around I think... A few months go by and I go to the city and come back to find the Dongs had eaten the Dog.
That's when I moved me and the wife to The city on another Island, and too bad for the people who I was the main provider for. A city where I could ride my bike, and decent Internet etc...
Yes, it's sad that they like to eat dogs. I can't even think about that but there are such.
Chow has low energy and kind of lazy, so a Chow wouldn't be bad. I have an 18 years old Dingo from Bakersfield CA. He was an escape artist. You couldn't keep him even at 10 years old (when I first got him - foster failed) with 6 ft fence. We just picked up a 1 year old puppy Rottweiler about a year ago. They still play with each other, but I do live on 3 acres and a fenced yard.
It's a glowie-proof safety feature!
Yes. Exactly.
u/#glowie
LOL!
Yes. Funny Elon
If feds ever show up at my house I'll just point at my gently sloped roof and they'll scatter.
I'll put some plywood down over my steps.
Their fuked.
Give them a ladder also.
Does that makeup for just how butt ugly that 130K truck is? Maybe...
"Truck"
Yes. LOL
Great, once the traitors are being rounded up, the richest ones will surround themselves with cybertrucks. Nobody is safe on sloped roofs.
Howls.
Anyone see that raccoons are trying to get into these trucks, mistaking them for dumpsters?
LOL. Squirrels don't mind sloped roof. Howling with laughter

Get a good dog, they won't come. I found that out.
