A lot of the posts that make it to the top of the page are stupid. It's crazy to me some posts only get 2-5 downvotes.

Right? I understand wanting to hide the downvote button so we don't just get brigaded by lefties, but I really wish there was more discouraging trash content here.... :\

It's because they don't have a down doot arrow enabled when community styling is active.

That is by design/on purpose. Folks will choose flashy animations over the inconvenience of not having a downdoot arrow.
