while everyone was looking to see where the shots were coming from, Greer looks back once to see if he has a shot, then over his right shoulder, uses his CIA-supplied pistol with bullets filled with shellfish toxin.

try this at home: imagine you're driving a vehicle. left foot= brake / right foot= gas. turn over your right shoulder with your left hand, imagining you have a pistol. the way the body contorts, your left leg/foot would then push down the brake pedal & your right leg/foot would let off the gas. this is what Greer did.
