Thanks, but at this age I probably won't survive that long. I used to garden extensively (flowers and vegetables), but all that's left is poisoned rhubarb. I still have most of the old catalogs to point me in the right direction.
One of the funniest things here is the resident woodchuck. He stood on a huge two-foot high planter of leaf lettuce to pull down a four-foot tall blooming cosmos. We watched him eat the entire flower; it was hilarious. Are cosmos related to carrots? Foliage is similar. Thanks again.
You're welcome. I fully understand. My gardening has slowed down. I knew we would be in trouble some day, food wise, so I planted Apple, Pear and Cherry trees plus Raspberrry, Blackberries, Elderberries, Asparagus, Rhubarb, Garlic, etc. I wanted to be able to live off of my small lot as much as possible. Now I mostly freeze the cherries, raspberries and asparagus. And I make one or two Rhubarb pies. I eat the fresh apples, but I let the critters get the rest. It's just nice to know that the trees are there if there is a food shortage. After 12 years, my pears are just starting to bloom. Never had any pears yet. Those woodchucks can do a lot of damage. He really wanted that Cosmos. Not sure if they are related to carrots. You have a wonderful day.
