Straw-man fallacy.
Did I at any point elevate the NIV? No I did not. Amongst the Bible scholars and translation experts it's considered a less than idea translation. I put it right in the same category as the message Bible.
Now why don't you check out that book I referred you to or look up "James White KJV only debate" on YouTube. He's covered everything. He is one of the leading textural transmission, textual variants, and translation experts in the world whose fluent in Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic.
As far as literal word for word translations my preference is the NASB followed by the ESV.
For middle ground between word for word and thought for thought The CSB would be my choice.
But I often run my Bible studies with a parallel Bible with several translations looking at the same verses. I can tell you there's quite a bit you would miss if you were only reading the original KJV. And there's a lot you'll also miss if you don't go back to the original languages.
But KJV onlyism is silly. I can understand if you only wanted to read the Bible in the original written languages but that's not your position at all.
Anyways I don't think this conversation's going to be productive any longer. Have a great day.
I just wanted to note a 100% agreement on this, not that my take is of any importance or anything.
I personally like an Interlinear English/Hebrew/Greek Bible with Strong’s codings, other than the text being insanely small.
Regardless of the translation used, there’s a lot of value to be found in word studies, and not just with the Bible.
Agree
Your first mistake was responding to that unpunctuated word salad, lol.
NASB is corrupted.
Easiest way to tell is it's relegated Acts 8:37 to the footnotes and removed it from the actual text.
What would stop the Ethiopian eunuch from getting baptized?
Nothing in the NASB.
Apparently doesn't even matter if he believed Jesus was the Son of God?
Acts 8:37
And Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”
The verse "If thou believes with all thine heart, thou mayest" from Acts 8:37 is not included in many Bible translations because it is not found in the oldest and best translations of Acts. However, it can be found in the footnotes of most Bibles, with an explanation.
It's not in any original textual variants and it's not present in the dead sea scrolls.
It's removed because it seems to have been added at a certain point by a translator or scribe, not because someone wanted it removed.
Corruption works both ways bud.
Oldest doesn't mean best.
The Bibles people actually read fell apart. The majority weren't written on animal skin (vellum).
90% of all ancient copies of the Bible are not the oldest.

Dr James White. Runs the OG Alpha & Omega Ministries.
Look him up in the context of the science of textual transmission. He's one of the leading translators and authorities in the world on both subjects. Fluent in Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic.
He's covered this extensively in his podcasts, his books, and debates with people holding to your position.
He's also one of my pastors.
Here's one of many times where he addresses this thoroughly https://www.youtube.com/live/Tg4tHMKHmPs?si=YFLaW_3tfCxiqONP
But I'm done here. You are choosing to assert things can be taken out of scripture but not admit they can be placed in. Inconsistency is the side of a failed argument.
No the Bible was originally written in English I don't like foreign language versions of the KJV I dont think thats right we know the only true version is the 1600s version in English its too risky for anybody to translate that into other languages or write it in another way mistakes can creep in and that can lead to heresy Christians should only read Gods language English
Lol dude that is the stupidest thing I hope I ever hear in my life. The Bible was originally written in Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic depending on the book.
The Bible was translated into English.... After it was translated into Latin.
You clearly have no idea what you're talking about although you think you do. That's the problem with ignorance.
We are definitely done here
Now the very worst of this battle of our vs or comes when dealing with the only begotten Son of God our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ the modern day counterfeiters have changed Saviour to Savior they have given us a six letter Savior in place of a seven letter Saviour in Bible numerics seven is the number of completeness, purity, and spiritual perfection on the other hand six is the number of man which is earthly not heavenly every one has heard of 666 it has a bad connotation and is not highly esteemed in Bible numerics the seven letter Saviour is the only begotten Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ. The six letter Savior is the son of perdition the anti christ he wants to be like the most High Isaiah 1414 but not in a good way but in an evil way he is not a follower hes a counterfeiter therefore his final destination is the lake of fire the new versions along with the new age movement and some of the King James Bible counterfeits are preparing the way for this six letter so called Savior thats the way he will spell his name Savior not Saviour no thank you Satan Im sticking with the seven letter Saviour as portrayed the old black Book that I inherited from my forefathers
