Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evolving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
oh man my sleep has been totally messed up ever since we've been having flooding downpours up here in Vermont, too hot to go outdoors, listening to the noise of my a/c's. got to near 90 and I covered the windows with sheets to keep the heat out. Normally I am up at 6-630, asleep around 10 30, sometiimes a quick nap. Now I am up till 2am or later, sleeping in till after 9, and then tired all day and waking up in the evening, like when I was young and worked the 3-11 shift. I don't know how to turn it around either, it's unusual for me because my body def has a steady schedule and routine.
It’s strange how things can screw up our sleep patterns and others are never affected. My husband could sleep through a tornado. I finally got going today at 3:30 PM. Over two weeks of less than four hours sleep, keeping 18 month old two days & an overnight visit & hip pain keeping me up. Fell asleep last night about three, got up at 12 & did nothing but sit in recliner. I’m back to normal now 🤞🏼 I can break this pattern.
I started taking this (link below) over two months ago and started seeing improvement after a month. I was having stomach cramps, mild flu symptoms and felt bad over a week so I stopped all supplements. Figured out it was a virus going around. Started it again last week and hopefully things will get better. I’m positive my hormones are out of balance and have apt tomorrow to address that.

Research adaptogens. There’s many plants in this category and they set things back right in your body.

Hopefully this will settle down for you.
