What exactly do the pedes here think is he speaking about? And why does no one ask him any follow-up questions about these particular incredibly tantalizing and hopeful statements?
He mentioned this at the RNC and (from my memory) once during his first term. He casually spoke of cures for all diseases, and then moved right onto the next thing. Drives me nuts lol.
I think I believe “med beds” are probably a real thing (I definitely waffle on this though), and when he says things like that, it feels like confirmation that such far out and world-changing tech might actually be in our not too distant future! I desperately want this to be real for the sake of several of my loved ones, not to mention the entirety of humanity.
Are med beds really real?
If disability can be cured I'm beyond excited. The question is what type of *cures? Can I get a stomach replacement? Would it be like the movie Elysium? Man life would be easier
Well, statistically, hearing loss is the most common form of disability. If we can regrow dead receptor cilial cells in the inner ear, it would make a lot of people happy -- including me.
That's fine for you and everyone who used to be able to hear.
For me, I have not been able to hear well my whole life. To be able to hear again, will definitely cause a lot of problems for me.
Conditioning the brain to understand what sound I'm hearing, headaches to follow, and perpetual confusion until I finally get hearing under control. Probably a lot more issues here than what I just mentioned.
I think I'll pass on the ability to hear again as I've been fine being deaf my whole life. There are benefits to being deaf over having the ability to hear like me being attentive to things around me because I rely on my eyes more often, for obvious reasons.
That would be cool too
