Trump was polite and measured in his introduction of RFK Jr. I know he is in good shape but also I thought it looked like he had had a long day, it must've been emotional giving that speech at 2PM and laying out his decision to support Trump to his supporters, many of whom are quite passionate about Mr. Kennedy.
It seemed like Trump carried the football for as much time as he could, and Bobby's remarks were very brief I think because his voice was probably near shot. I know speaking has been strenuous for him during his campaign. Seemed like a kindness Trump was doing to help him.
I really liked RFK Jr.'s remarks he kept it simple and plain, not only was it very energizing to the crowd at the rally but you can see that it is a passion project for him that he now stands a better chance of delivering. He also gets to expose this topic to a much wider audience, and it is not a typical one we hear about every election cycle.
Eating better quality food that is free of poisons and getting toxins out of our daily lives as Americans is really something that can and will receive broad support. You literally cannot find a reason NOT to want it as a voter.
Its critical right now too I think, because it now becomes another plank of our overall platform. It is something else to focus on that Democrats may not have a readily available counter attack for. Furthermore, the Democrats will now have to come up with a policy of their own to compete against it with, they won't be able to just ignore it entirely.
It opens up an important conversation about human health and the degradation of our groceries and living environments. And who has been running the country 12 out of the last 16 years, hmm? 🙄
Lastly I was surprised that Trump gave him a hug instead of just a handshake once he was done with his speech. It was symbolic in showing that Trump isn't this monster they have been claiming for the past four days of the DNC. He is thoughtful and affable, capable of working with others with different points of view on some issues.
We are allied with RFK supporters on ALL of the most critical things and that's what counts, because this is the precipice and we must make alliances now, or we will lose our most critical freedoms for good.
RFK Jr's family has betrayed him so today was exceptionally difficult for him. Trump was good friends with JFK Jr so must have a great deal of sympathy and appreciation for RFK Jr
“My husband’s opinions are not a reflection of my own,” Hines wrote on social media early that year. “While we love each other, we differ on many current issues.”

Wait, his family betrayed him?
What did I miss amongst all the news?
RFK said it in his speech: His wife .....

I hadn't had time to watch the speech directly yet.
That's sad.
