Crypto is nothing more than a stock. It isn't a real currency, it has no physical value, and nobody is entitled to accept it. Don't get distracted. Ending the Fed is priority number 1.
Bitcoin is not a stock. There is no underlying company for it to have underlying shares of. It is just a number which value is assigned to, just like that dollar bill in your pocket with a serial number on it. If the crypto has a company which controls it (like maybe Ethereum) then maybe it would be like a stock. but not all crypto
Money is always just an accounting mechanism. Gold is just a rock. Nothing has "intrinsic" value except that which we decide it has.
End the Fed, sure. But end ALL centrally controlled monetary systems. Only Proof of Work cryptographic ledgers like Bitcoin are truly decentralized and do not require trust in a 3rd party.
That is why BTC is special. Those who argue things like "backing" don't understand what that means. All money of any kind is always backed by whatever people are willing to trade in exchange for it.
And some things backing money have less real value than others.
A stock? Ah, not quite. And ending the fed requires a replacement of some sort. So a discussion about a new form of currency is a discussion about ending the fed. So try not to get distracted by the word bitcoin
Yes a stock. It's traded around and it's value is totally speculative. The only acceptable replacement is backed currency.
