welll... I´ll go with this comment on Nitter: ""And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. " - Mathew 6:5"
The context of this verse is that the false believers go out and stand on the corners to virtue signal to the world their piety. Is it NEVER okay to pray in public? Is it NEVER okay to be moved by the spirit to pray right then and there?
It’s good. Folks are just in shock about seeing good ol fashioned Christian prayer on stage instead of the satanic pedo shit that’s shoved down our retinas on the daily.
The verse goes on " But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
[7] But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
[8] Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
[9] After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name...
Sure but does that mean no one on tv can pray out loud? And if praying publicly, humbling yourself as he did on his knees is some how prideful? I think there’s a degree to which we judge, but nothing in these verses compare to Brands actions.
I´m not judging Brand, far from that... I feel praying should be something private, not public, because of missinterpretations like this can happen. I´m really not a example of a Christian.

I saw that comment and it seems quite ChurchLady-ish.
Brand and Carlson weren’t planning on praying on camera. It was an impromptu decision at the end of a long discussion about Christianity.
Also, God probably considers exemptions from charges of ostentatious religiosity for famous people who are earnestly trying to set a good example.
First thing I thought too…
He doesn't live in a very religious community, like in the old days.
Not sure what you’re saying, that him kneeling is good or bad?

In front of a camera

just saying that I am taking it with a spoonful of salt. Lets see the fruits this will bare.
