And, since there is so much emerging information that maybe don't all warrant their own posts (admittedly, perhaps even this one, my apologies, but, you know how it is with breaking news like this) how about we just sticky this and call it a mega thread? Cool?
Arab intelligence services have found out how Mossad placed explosives in pager batteries
Each battery of the exploded pager contained about 20 grams of pentaerythritol nitrate (PETN). This high explosive is usually used in military detonators.
It is similar to lithium salts used in batteries of electrical appliances. Therefore, even a thorough check by the Arabs did not find anything.
But Israeli saboteurs used it in the following way: at some point, the pagers began to heat up their lithium-ion batteries on a signal, but instead of burning, the battery exploded due to the PETN.
Mossad (Israeli intelligence) placed such mined batteries in the last batch of pagers that arrived in Lebanon from Taiwan (an ally of the United States).
Now the number of victims has increased to 4,000 people.
Diabolical indeed. If you think about it, not only were thousands injured, so many had their hands and fingers blown off. They will never be able to shoot a weapon again. Forced early retirement from terrorism. Win win.
What has led you to conclude that someone with a Hezbollah pager is a terrorist? Regardless of whom you support, are you in support of an indiscriminate attack that kills innocent civilians? The first fatality was a 10-year-old girl. Is that win-win for you?
And what is your position on the second amendment in the USA? If you support it I have further questions about your characterization of Hezbollah.
It's been well documented that Hezbollah is a militant organization with ties to terrorism. Of course I do not support the innocents that were harmed. That is tragic but often a consequence of unconventional warfare in which both sides engage.
I fully support our Second Amendment to the United States Constitution, ideologically and in actual practice.
So you are well aware that if you exercise your 2nd amendment rights together with likeminded people against an enemy who has the favor of someone in the media, you'll be branded a militant organization, yes? And very likely domestic terrorists? If someone responds to your group's defense efforts by interdicting products you purchase to cause them to explode parts of your body off, forcing your "early retirement" from "terrorism", should society consider that a "win win"? A tragic consequence of unconventional warfare in which both sides engage?

Terrorist state israel. That could have been your child getting killed in the checkout next to a person with one of the pagers.
