Look up the street corner it happened on. 32nd St NW and Fessenden St NW It’s in the middle of a bloody subdivision.
Why the Hell was an on duty Secret Service Agent doing in a Subdivision? They’re normally around the Treasury and Capitol. If they aren’t operating in a protective detail or on Treasury/Law Enforcement Business. And they wouldn’t be on normal run of the mill Law Enforcement Business. That’d be left to Capital Police and DC Metro Police
There’s some expensive looking properties in the area from what I can see. But nothing that would suggest someone of the political standing and Capital who’d need a Secret Service Detail. Or anything involving the Treasury Work the SS still does.
There seems to be more to this story than run of the mill incompetence.
There's some mansion there. Google maps shows the address as 3112 Fessenden. It's gated with a guard shack in the driveway.
3301 Fessenden St NW, Washington, DC - 11 beds/17 baths
Sold: 11 beds, 14.5 baths, 11397 sq. ft. house located at 3301 Fessenden St NW, Washington, DC 20008 sold for $9,500,000 on Sep 28, 2023.
September 28th 2015: Listed by Nancy Itteliag of Long and Foster Real Estate and its affiliate Christie’s, the palatial seven-bedroom home at 3107 Fessenden Street NW (map) was owned by Samuel Lehrman, whose family co-founded Giant supermarket. Lehrman acquired the three adjacent lots that the home sits on in the early 1990s and built the sprawling estate on the acre of purchased land.
I'm guessing there was a party at that house Saturday night and he was protection detail for a guest, sitting out on the street.. I don't know who he was protecting though. The house looks like a consulate/diplomats house. If you look at the real estate sites, the pictures of the house are blurred out.
