Teachers, even though they may have qualified for SS get only a small portion. Fuckers.
Why? Is it because they were paid for 12 months but only worked 9?
Actually, the salary is spread out over 12 months, worked 3 decades in a conservative public school teaching upper level high school science courses, never got close to making anywhere near six figures. And if I die before my husband does, he gets nothing of what I paid in. Some of us worked a whole lot harder than the others did.
Yeah it's not fair for a lot of people... and lots ate worried they'll be nothing there at all when they retire... Even now, many get like $1k/mo and what can you really do with that? Plus you gotta pay taxes on it...such bs
Yep, I’m worried that the government will take mine as well. It is all bs.
Because most fall have pension programs that did not pay into SSA have sweetheart pensions and may have had part-time jobs outside of their teaching jobs, so the rule is that they cannot be unjustly enriched.
