The question is: As the use of AI continues to mushroom and take the place of human beings, what roles/jobs will be available for humans such that they can earn a living?
Let's forget those people who don't want to work. Let's just focus on people who want to work (regardless of their level of skill and capability).
The more insidious problem is that the pace at which we will be dumbed down has gone parabolic. You thought our kids are getting dumber? Whoa... hold on for the next 10 years and see how many humans can generate original thought. Here's an example of what I'm talking about... I spoke to a consultant today who has a specific expertise and is good at what she does. She explained how she uses Chat GPT to generate reports based on recorded webinars. Then she turns in the reports and gets paid. Some might say that that's smart. Personally, as long as she explains that to the client and the client agrees to pay for it, then that's between them (but I don't think she explained it to them). But the thing is, she is no longer originating her thoughts, and so at best she will plateau. So what, you ask? She falls to the side, you say? What happens when millions and millions and millions of people fall into this pattern?
The sad thing is, they already have.
And boy were we primed for it. The amount of entertainment that has flooded our brains is incomprehensible. Radio. Then TV. Then cable. Then the internet. Combine the access with the amount of programming, and you have the sheep, or rather, very, very passive human beings. This is not a new topic on this board. But we are not talking enough about the next level of human take-down--the impact of AI.
And I am not talking about the minuscule percent of people who use AI to create and problem solve, etc. I'm talking about the masses.
Why am I posting this here? Because our thoughts about the future (which are built upon the Q Plan) must account for this, and although I see the topic here and there, I just haven't seen a lot of deeper discussion about the future and the role of AI. So, yeah, this weighs on my mind when I think about my children, grandchildren, etc.
I don't have any answers. I am not against AI. But right now I don't see how our culture and economy get stronger, but instead only see the creation of wider gaps. It's almost as if AI is part of the global reset because there will only be 500 million people--an AI-based utopia in the minds of the elite.
I appreciate all comments and discussion.
The answer to the question is still 42. 😂

Do you think A.I. was responsible for Douglas Adams' early demise?
Sadly, he was consumed by the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal. He failed to put his towel over his head in time.
I think I remember reading that somewhere. RIP Douglas.
Lol
I believe this is how they get to Universal Basic Income. But they'll still need a loyal working base to pay taxes to support UBI, so expect the only jobs to be government ones. Politicians will make sure of that because they become useless without fighting to steal money to give to the shiftless voters.
They are getting closer to a Basic Income in Canada. This is the easy path to a social credit systems and digital currencies. There are too many people in Canada now, who will want this easy free money without caring about the severe consequences.
The joke will in the end be on them because I'm pretty sure UBI will be less than welfare.
AI is great. Nothing to worry about. A beautiful future for mankind. Of which I am definitely a part. Beep beep boop boop
I say it is an OPPORTUNITY for those of us who Love to use our Divine Intelligence. As studies in AI have shown, AI systems which only feed on AI information, are closed systems and after 3 revolutions start to corrupt and breakdown. Maybe we are not at the Beginning of the AI movement but at the End, it is corrupting, it is breaking down. AI, even with its faster than light calculations and summarizations, is not DI and never will be. Inspiration, Intuition, Creation is of Divine origin and Hue Mans are the flowers of this Thought/Word that is reflected back at us. The great separation is occurring. Time to get off the fence. You cannot serve two masters, AI/DI. Protect your DNA which is your "back-channel" to DI. Do not allow a virus to corrupt your DNA.
I have a feeling that NCSWIC means that this plan can’t be stopped. The question is who will that 500 million be?
Sheep or knowledgeable anons. No matter what the end goal is upon us.
Where are you pulling this 500M number from?
Sauce it up so I can understand...
Georgia guide-stones. Also it’s a popular number with the Malthusians.
12 monkeys, Children of men, The Matrix and Terminator were the blueprint for the life they created for us. Oh, and a little from the Resident Evil game.

Ah okay...
We said nay nay to the GSS 💥
Disregarding questions about the reality or unreality of it. Space is a potential.
Off world Colonies could be several decades minimum before they could set up the infrastructure necessary to run the automated systems we have now that are threatening jobs.
The early waves of Spanish Settlers and Conquistadors were often 3rd and 4th sons without an inheritance. Landless laborers etc. Essentially people with not much going for them in Spain. Or those whose skills weren’t necessarily in demand in their homeland.
Also fairly likely we’ll see new Careers that haven’t been conceived of yet. Not to mention the novelty of actually having human staff could be a selling point for some businesses in the future.
I’d imagine we’ll also adapt. Humans are good at that. And We are depending on how you want to play with definitions and qualifiers. In the early stages of a potential 3rd or 4th Industrial Revolution. And we’re going to take a few decades to puzzle out we’re exactly we can fit in. Just as our ancestors did during the 1st Industrial Revolution. And figure out what our new technology can and can’t do. And what it is able to do. But not necessarily do to a sufficient degree to meet our standards.
Further confounding things though is a couple factors. Mainly our public education system hasn’t really been meaningfully changed in a couple centuries. Originally it was intended to be a system largely meant to produce reasonably competent workers and office clerks en-mass. Capable of maintaining and running the system but not necessarily innovating. As that was what was necessary to fuel a rapidly industrializing economy when the groundwork for our current systems of mass public education were initially conceived.
Great insights! Thank you. Hopeful.
