I beg to differ. Her sense of urgency for a potential economic disaster is warranted. Biden or his puppet masters could do something about this but he says he will not. Perhaps we don't need all those things on those cargo ships but a lot of them we Do need...ie. electrical parts for vehicles, appliances, hvac systems...not to mention the trucking jobs that could come to a complete stand still...oh and more inflated prices too. The potential strike is a big deal...more people need to get vocal about this and headlines may be the only way to get people informed. Having said all that, completely agree that reason, calm and leadership are certainly in order...though seemingly in short supply.

If they get hungry enough they can go back home and harvest all the bananas they can. As for me, I don't care if the longshoremen go on strike or not. I'll still have my job, others in my store might not, so no big deal to me or my family.

This is the time of year when a lot of fresh produce starts coming in from Central & South America. That could push grocery prices up.

There are a lot of good, honest American incomes tied to imported produce. And this could have a negative effect on them.
The wetbacks will go to grocers who import from mexico. This shouldn't bother them much at all. At least not in southern states.
