Starlink dishes are pretty awesome! They need less than 100 watts of power and in minutes will provide high quality Internet. I'm surprised they only brought 30 and not 300 though
The business people and the churches! I went thru Katrina - had my home and 2 rentals that I owned flooded. Out of all the help I received it was the churches that did the most.
In my Parish some of the 1st to respond were church groups. They arrived soo early in the response that they were turned back at the Parish line. Unbelievable!
And just imagine!!!! We get our wealth back in our hands, we could EASILY do this organically for any world wide disaster. Only, WE would control how much went to which disaster, instead of our crooked politicians pocketing the bulk
Yep. I applied for Road Home after Katrina. If I didn't send in the exact same paperwork 6 x each, I never filed. Hear what I'm telling ya? And they took MONTHS to tell you that once again, they were missing the paperwork that you have sent to them at least 4x already, mail, fax, certified, return receipt requested mail, personally (by myself) hand delivered mail yet it is STILL missing, so I must TURN IN ALL REQUIRED PAPERWORK BEFORE they can once again initiate my process........... I lost my property, it took so long to process, I couldn't afford rent elsewhere and mortgage there.
Edit to add: I did sell the property at a greatly reduced amount, plus at that time, I had to sign over any claim to any Road Home money that may be awarded. Years later, I get mail from the Road Home lawyer group, I owe them $ 50k - I didn't live there for 3 consecutive years after being awarded the money. Except I never received any money lol. That took another chunk of time and money to get those idiots to straighten out.
