A WWII and Korean war vet was school custodian for 30 years before his SS retirement kicked in and never once acted like it was "degrading". These "degrading" jobs put food on the table for a lot of grateful people. It had been said to me in the military; "I would never make you do anything I wouldn't."

yes, I live in the Midwest & see hard work every day. have also seen many die young because of the work, and 'system' inflicted on us.

why struggle so hard to 'put food on the table'...

there is a more efficient way, and that's why they have to get rid of the 'old guard'
