Some of you here are worried about the food being healthy. When you don't know where your next meal is coming from, are you really worried about fat and calories?
I'm still waiting for my apology from Denny's for their bolognavirus vaccine passport bs. It's been over 3 years since I've spent a cent in a bar or restaurant. None of them are any "good". At least not out here where I'm from.
Are there still bars at the Denny's by you. Where I'm at, all the ones that had bars were demolished. Nothing says drinking problem like sitting at a bar at Denny's. Before I quit, I had a friend who was a bartender at one. I had my own barstool there. It rarely got cold.
When I worked for them, the food was checked for safety starting with the water sources suppling the farmers that grow their food. It was cheaper to do this and stop the lawsuits. They used to have people trying to sue all the time. Stuff like, I didn't get a spoon, that is racist. Or people claim to get sick, but no doctor visit, and no receipt, and no one remembers them being there.
After Denny's lost those lawsuits it became a target for Karens.
You would be surprised how 1 hot meal a day tastes so good and is fundamental in maintaining morale. As long as it not cold out of a can and tastes halfway decent it's a god send. Thank you lord!!!
Edit-been there done that. I know the value of 1 hot meal a day. I have had to eat crunchy apple sauce in the desert and frozen peaches in Alaska.
That's good. Poison them with ultra processed crap. ugh. But kudos to them for stepping up and doing a truly American act of kindness. Its sad that helping them may actually do more harm to their health because our food is so fucking bad for us. I'll see my pessimistic self out.....
It's sort of a cultural meme in the hood. Lots of mom fights breaking out at Denny's. Was my (unsuccessful) attempt to reference that with a bit of humor.
Someone doesn't like healthy foods? I'm pretty sure Denny's is pure garbage, but the fact that you care about what your fellow Americans are eating gets an updoot from me.

I store some of mine but then, lots of people could not afford food during something like this. If their house get washed away, you would be starving.
Whatever their food is, a hungry person will be greatful.
Amen.
The food is mediocre, and the service is generally worse. However, they deserve kudos for stepping up to help.
You said it.

Oh. I am sorry. They got shut down the same way a lot of the business in Portland area.
They did not required anything in the south.

Denny's food is not great. But they are there to help. Waffle House does a lot also. At least in The waffle House she can watch them cook your food!
Yeah. I am so glad you mentioned Waffle House. I saw that but did not have an article for it.

Oh wow. What a sick world to be. I don't eat fast food that much but I used to go to Dennys or Ihop. Just went to Ihop 2 days ago.
World's largest mobile fryer.
True.

Amen to the fact. We all have to make do. Sound like an adventure for you.
Any Theo Von Fans? 😂
Sorry.

Telling the truth is never popular.
But there are no roads. Can you airlift this baby??
They may feed a lot of the workers, and that is still a big help.
Oh right.
They also hold some of the best impromptu foxy boxing events you can find anywhere.
You serious?
Girl on girl Denny's fights are legendary.
I have never seen it.

Oh, and I thought you were referring to those female boxing matches sponsored by them on tv. Howls.
Show how much I go there.
At bar closing time it's lit...only to be outdone by awful house
I hope they serve healthy foods.
