We pulled our son out because of the evil books they are forcing the kids to read. Nope, not having it, so we got him out and began teaching him ourselves. Now he's an adult and is such a good young man. Heck, even the local school district is aweful. I ask a lot of junior high school kids if they can read or write in cursive and none of them can. The reasoning behind the decision to not teach cursive is all the work is done on a computer, so writing skills are not required. But there is something to be said for just teaching a kid how to do something. Their brains are sponges and it doesn't take but a few minutes a day for one school year to teach a kid how to be an effective writer. They are intentionally dumbing down our kids so the kids can be easily manipulated to whatever the deep state wants. No critical thinking skills are taught, no mathematical skills, no American history, just an indoctrination into how we need to care about one anothers feelings and how to be a better fag.
I’m tutoring now after 41 years of teaching math and the people who hire me have kids who are not ready for HS level math despite having teachers making $80K for 182 days of work.
To your cursive comment; research, from years back, show that the majority of kids better retain information when they write it. Having taught high school kids who could neither read nor write cursive and must print everything, yes I gave lectures and told them to take notes (how horrible of me) they were unable to write at a fast pace and had to concentrate on printing each letter, just mind boggling. I can take notes in cursive without looking at paper, I’m sure most of us who wrote in cursive can. The end result is that their retention rate is abysmal.
Public school IS welfare. Fock em'
Tenth Amendment. Yes.
Except for my homeschooled child who literally begs to "go to a government school" to "play with [my child's] friends at recess and on the bus." The same child who cries the second a lesson starts or pretends that numbers don't exist. The same one who will do a task perfectly five times and then "forgets how" on the sixth time.
Yeah, homeschool is a real treat.
Freedom isn't easy
Absolutely. If your children are still in public school, it's time to remove them.
