By no means am I attempting to defend Stern or the language in the video, but he's doing a parody of when Ted Danson was dating Whoopi Goldberg and did black face alongside racial jokes. It's a parody of someone else doing this exact thing.
I don't love it, but I think the context is important here. Frankly it was bad enough when Ted Danson did it.
No need to defend him.
He did black face and black impersonations ad nauseum well before the Ted Danson bit.
I'm of the mind the reason Robin was hired in the first place was to deflect from everything he was doing at the time.
