NC was not a flood zone. Once in a millennium event. And I wonder if the dam was opened too wide on purpose. Looking at the before video, the area looked idyllic.
Hmm, so fema doesn't have any money to help the victims but does have money for illegals And to buy properties so that they can leave the lots vacant. 🤔
A bit misleading on one point. Harris county is where Houston is. If you don't know, Houston was built in and on top of swamp lands. We learned back in the 90s that our rapid growth, was starting to cause flooding. Houston has very little zoning when you consider what a big city it is. These areas that they're referring to have and will always be a swamp. Far cheaper for everyone to buy the people & businesses out than to keep paying over and over again to restore them after nature wipes them out. As far as I know, the county pays market value and long before this even occurs, the insurance companies have been raising the rates for flood insurance, for good reason, so these folks have little reason to stay. Nature will not change and eventually they won't be able to by flood insurance.
