One of my best friends in college was an Assyrian. Great guy, great family. Was surprised I knew about Mesopotamian history.

Having said that, Mesopotamia can kiss my North Sea/steppe/Arctic glutes. Cities, irrigated agricultural slavery, debt-based banking, and endless wars, all in the hot nasty sand-----UGH.
