Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evolving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
Rules For the rest of the Site also accessible on the sidebar.

Did you know that almost all donkeys have the cross on their backs? Yes, even a donkey with black or dark brown coats can carry the marking of the cross. Isn't it amazing?
The donkey carried Jesus into Jerusalem where he was met with cheering crowds.

Donkeys are so cute!
They are adorable! Wanted one after seeing the movie, "Shrek"
Also all cats have an "M" on the yo of thier head for Mary.
The cat stayed by Mary's side during birth and she touched the cats head.
This is definitely true of tabbies, I did not know it was true of all cats...
I had a black cat with only a little white on her tummy and paws.
You could clearly see it on her black head.
I never heard that but not surprised...God Created His Creatures to comfort us! π
Christianity and the βMβ Legend.
In Christianity, the legend behind the βMβ mark on a catβs forehead is often linked to the story of baby Jesus. It is said that when Jesus was born, he was lying in a manger, accompanied by his mother, the Virgin Mary. There, a cat, with an intriguing βMβ marking on its forehead, found its way into the stable and snuggled next to baby Jesus, keeping him warm and comforted. Out of gratitude, Mary is believed to have gently stroked the catβs forehead, imprinting the βMβ as a symbol of her love and appreciation.
Awwww!
Love this so much...π€πβ¨ πΆβοΈπ
I was told as a child.
I started checking the heads of cats and it is true.
Yes... it's true!
