Between these and AI, what in the world is the world going to look like in 2 years?
Hard no.
Not so much on whether anyone is intending to buy any of these or not.
Just what might be coming. The world looks like it’s about to become very, very different, one way or the other.
Just because you “can” doesn’t mean you “should” build these robo critters. Same with clones. They will eventually replace us humans.
I could see them being a godsend for people with disabilities.
I don’t necessarily disagree, yet here we are. Automation is also a wholly distinct class of morality than clones, which are supposed to be illegal to make, in theory.
Technophobia has destroyed more than a few businesses and countries.
Anyone can be a universal pessimist on these things. How could we push an optimistic front forward?
I think one thing that needs careful vigilance and attention is this recent push to "give robots rights"

There needs to be serious oversight and regulations on AI and androids as they relate to humanity and "status".
