I could see US sending our troops there (small group) just to aid Israel. Then, they are ambushed/killed by "iranians" in order to drag US into the conflict. Then, whoops, we need to put the election on hold cuz we're at war....narrative. Just a guess based on their typical, tired ass, playbook.
