Isn't the EPA one of the departments that should be done away with, just like the Department of Education?
I am all for clean water and air, but the EPA leviathan has grown too large to keep feeding.
Maybe Elon has some innovative tech plans for it 🤞
Is there is federal agency (or the non-federal fed) that shouldn't be shattered into a thousand pieces and scattered to the winds? Perhaps this is the first step.
I mean, you may want someone at least monitoring your pollutants until your communities can develop a more sustainable practice. I would say federal agencies like the EPA need to be replaced before they are shattered. ie. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water.
There was some court case that made it much harder for individuals to sue corporations for pollution. Until then a judge / jury would make the decision based on the facts and if the pollution crossed the property lines.. Once that power was taken away it became replaced with regulations. Find the court case that changed that. Overturn it. Fix the problem don’t just apply a better bandage.
You need someone we trust in charge even to wind it down and cease it's existence Can't trust the vermin running it now to do that. They'd probably orchestrate a disaster just to prove a point.
Good point.
Some interesting comments about winding things down over on the Kash Patel CIA thread.
That might easily be the plan.
You can't just do away with it. Factories in the rust belt used to dump all sorts of toxic substances in the waterways to avoid extra costs. Greedy motherfuckers will do whatever they want if not checked. Look at China, their land and water is polluted as fuck because they had no enforcement for decades
I think there can and should be regulations.
I just don't think progress should be stopped for some red dotted yellow arrow backed beatle.
Some regulations are obscene.
Is it not happening today with the current EPA? The institutions are fundamentally corrupt. Also they have been weaponized to disrupt innovation. At the very least they needed to be gutted and refocused on areas they are supposed to serve.
Give them time. I am thinking that they will be amalgamating and renaming many of these agencies that no one trusts anymore!
