Trump is pulling several key people out of Congress. Once we actually officially seal the House, we will only have a very slim majority. We cannot afford to lose any seats. Senate seats can be appointed by the governors, but the House is by special election process which can take as long as 6 months. That does not sound good when Trump is trying to move forward quickly with his agenda and the people he is pulling are from the America First coalition. I am sure they have taken that into consideration and have a plan to pick good replacements to campaign for those seats. But, never underestimate the Dems and their bag of dirty tricks.
Something tells me the "secret" that Trump has can handle any issues that may present themselves with the Senate or the House. No sauce. Just my opinion.
The "secret" also lacks sauce and it's anyone's guess as to what it is or if Trump is simply trolling the left and the establishment. I appreciate your opinion. At this point it is all speculation being formed from what we do know. That is what I base my opinion upon - what we do know sitting in front of us.
Yes, I hear you and agree. I think Matt's seat will be pretty safe in Florida.
Do we have any house members from blue or purple areas to worry about?
Thanks for prompting me to check this a little closer. I agree that Gaetz's district FL 1 is sold Rep. He won 66% to 34%. It appears that Waltz' seat also looks pretty solid for FL 6. He won 66.5% to 33.5%, so I think that district is safe and not likely to flip. Stefanik is from NY 21. For NY she also won solidly - 62.3% to 37.7. I don't know much about the politics of that area so I cannot determine if a Dem would even have a chance to flip that seat. It is NY after all. So, of the Congressmen Trump has chosen so far, I would say the risk of losing one or more of those seats is low - but it is a possibility and needs to be watched.
It was just a concern and so far I have not heard anyone bring the subject up in order to get some better feedback from anons more familiar with the areas in question. Like I stated, I am also sure that Trump's team took all this into consideration when making those picks. I just don't trust the Dems - been disappointed too many times - so I guess I am a little cynical. I will continue to monitor this in the future. Thank you for your reply fren.
